Midwest Propane approached Accu-Flo Meter Service with a request for a cost-effective solution to manage a remote unmanned LPG loading facility in Central Alberta. Midwest wanted to sell bulk propane from the facility directly to customers bulk trucks as well as load their own trucks without having someone on site to manage the transactions. This was a perfect application for the TCS 3000 register and TCS HUB software. Accu-flo certified and commissioned a remote-mount TCS 3000 and connected it to TCS HUB software through a cellular modem.
Now, this setup allows Midwest to send account numbers and pin numbers directly to the TCS 3000 Register. When Midwest customers or their own operators arrive on site, they input their account number and pin number to activate the delivery. Then when the delivery is completed, the operator retrieves a printed ticket while an electronic PDF ticket with details of the transaction are sent directly to the Midwest office where it’s processed, reconciled and invoiced the same day without ever visiting the site.
"We installed our first TCS 3000 register at our storage facility in order to sell retail propane. Our first metered load was Oct 11/2018 and since that date we have not looked back as we keep modifying settings to make our business more efficient. TCS 3000 has helped us to see our load tickets the second the trucks are done loading, which in turn allows us to invoice the same day. It has permitted us to verify our daily metered volumes, which has saved time and money for our business at month end financials. Accuflo Meter Service Ltd did an excellent in house one-on-one training with our staff. With that training our staff as first time users had very little issue with the TCS 3000.
It is our first but will not our last TCS 3000"
